Actor Nivin Pauly is basking in the success of his latest Malayalam movie “Action Hero Biju,” which has been garnering good response from movie-goers ever since it was released on Feb. 4.
The songs in the Abrid Shine directorial have also been accepted well by the audience, and the makers released a song video from the movie at 6 pm on Feb. 11. The audience were eagerly waiting for the release of the video of the folk song “Muthe Ponne Pinangalle”, sung by actor V Suresh Thampanoor. He has also penned the lyrics and composed the music of the song. It was released on the YouTube channel of Satyam Audios on Thursday. The song, set in the background of a police station, also features Nivin, Joju George, Prajod Kalabhavan and several other new faces.
The movie has four other songs, and “Pookkal Panineer Pookal,” sung by KJ Yesudas and Vani Jayaram, was an instant hit even before the release of the film. The song has been viewed more than 2.8 lakh times within 23 days of its release on YouTube by Satyam Audios. The other songs of the Nivin-starrer are “Oonjalilaadi Vanna”, “Chiriyo Chiri” and “Hara Hara.”
While Jerry Amaldev has composed the songs of the flick, the lyrics of three songs have been penned by Santhosh Varma and the title song “Hara Hara” by Hari Narayanan. Rajesh Murugesan has composed the background score of the film.
“Action Hero Biju” narrates the day-to-day incidents that happen at a Janamaithri police station in Kerala, and Nivin portrays Sub-Inspector Biju Paulose. “Action Hero Biju” marks the first time he plays a cop. Anu Emmanuel, who starred in the 2011 movie “Swapnasanchari” as Jayaram and Samvrutha Sunil’s daughter, stars opposite Nivin in the comedy entertainer.
