One of the highlights of “Asia’s Next Top Model” is the makeover episode. It is the only time when contestants in the reality show look completely different and adapt a different persona. And this is what will happen when the show’s latest instalment, Cycle 4 episode 3, airs.
Although the new season of “Asia’s Next Top Model” has just begun, it already feels like the models have come a long way. From upgrading their style for photoshoots to learning a new genre of dance, the contestants have undertaken various lessons required to become a supermodel. However, they have one more milestone to cross: adapting a different look after a makeover.
This will be the focus of episode 3. The remaining 12 contestants will undergo a transformation by hairstylist Lourd Ramos and for some of them, the change will be extreme. Ngo Thi Quynh Mai aka Mai Ngo, the Miss Universe contestant from Vietnam will bid goodbye to her long tresses while Jiratchaya Kedkong aka Tawan from Thailand gets a pixie cut with highlights.
Although this is the most exciting part of the episode for the models, they will also have to take part in a dreaded photoshoot. Based on the promo for episode 3, it’s safe to guess that the models will be judged on whether or not they have embraced their new look.
For South Korea’s Sang In Kim, the feedback is extremely positive. The model, who receives a bob with cotton candy highlights impresses the judges as she dons a cute and fun yet edgy look.
“Asia’s Next Top Model” Cycle 4 episode 3 airs Wednesday, March 23, at 9 p.m. on Star World Asia. The show will be aired at 8 p.m. in Vietnam (VN), Thailand (BKK) and Indonesia (JKT).
