Both Salman Khan and Kapil Sharma have reportedly put in their money in the remakes of the Marathi movie “Shahanpan Dega Deva” (2011).
Salman and Kapil have bought the rights to remake the film in Hindi and Punjabi, respectively, reports SpotboyE. “Shahanpan Dega Deva” was a Marathi comedy film starring Bharat Jadhav, Ankush Choudhary, Siddharth Jadhav, Santosh Juvekar, Vaibhav Mangale, Kranti Radekar and Manava Naik, among others.
However, it is not known if the two actors would star in their respective remakes, if at all the films are made. The story of “Shahanpan Dega Deva” revolves around five lunatics who take charge of the city’s safety. If the reports of Salman and Kapil having bought the remake rights are true, it will be interesting to see who gets ready with it first and whose creation stands tall at the box office.
Salman has just wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming movie “Sultan,” which also features Anushka Sharma. On the other side, Kapil has been busy with his newly launched show “The Kapil Sharma Show” on Sony Entertainment Television.
While Salman’s “Sultan” is one of the most awaited flicks of the year, Kapil’s show has received positive response from the audience. Kapil had made his Bollywood debut in 2015 with the movie “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” and that did good business at the box office. Salman is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars of Bollywood, but Kapil too has a huge fan-base and is a star of the television industry.
