It seems that Spider-Man’s solo movie will include more than one Avenger. According to recent reports, Tom Holland, who will portray the titular character in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) next “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” has hinted the presence of Steve Rogers/Captain America in the movie.
As stated by Movie Pilot, Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed that Tony Stark/Iron Man will appear alongside Spidey in “Homecoming,” which is scheduled to be released in 2017.
However, Holland has said in an interview with MTV that he would like to see Captain America in the movie.
Comic Book Resources quoted Holland as saying: “I’d like Cap to show up at some point. I think that’d be really cool if he did. But they’re in the process of writing it, so I really have no idea.”
Holland will first appear as the friendly neighbourhood superhero in next month’s “Captain America: Civil War” that will hit the big screen on May 6. In the movie, Spidey will be seen as the member of Team Iron Man. However, it seems that his love for Captain is no less.
Apart from teasing Cap’s presence in the movie, Holland also talked about his version of Spidey and how it is different from Toby Maguire’s or Andrew Garfield’s.
“You’re really going to get to see a kid with super powers,” said Holland. “And one of the nice things about this film is you see a real kid reacting to Avengers just how a real kid would, and that’s exactly how I reacted.”
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is a joint venture between Sony Pictures and MCU. The movie is scheduled to release on July 7, 2017.
