Simbu aka Silamabarasan has possibly courted a controversy again. The actor has not only bid goodbye to the Nadigar Sangam but also blasted the new administration for failing to help him during certain crises. He has also shared his unhappiness on the recently-held celebrity cricket tournament organised by the actors’ guild.
Speaking to Sify, Simbu said that he has multiple reasons to move out of the Nadigar Sangam. “As an association who are supposed to help actors during crisis or problems, they have failed. I have not got any kind of support when I faced issues. And the recent cricket match which they conducted made me so upset. Most of our actors were made to look like jokers,” the website reported the actor as saying.
Simbu has landed himself in several issues in the recent months. Notable among them was the beep song controversy, which also involved music director Anirudh Ravichander. It was said that the Nadigar Sangam did not support him during his tough times and this could be the major reason for the actor to withdraw his membership.
It may be recalled that Simbu had unsuccessfully contested for the position of the Nadigar Sangam’s secretary. He lost to Vishal Krishna in the bitter battle of elections held last October.
However, his comments are expected to create a big controversy.
On the professional front, Simbu has a few big projects in his kitty. His next release is “Idhu Namma Aalu,” which will release in May. It is followed by Gautham Menon’s “Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada,” which will be out later this year.
