Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are coming together for a third film, the details of which are being kept under wraps. However, it has appeared that the project will see the superstar undertake a journey from India to China and will feature a leading Chinese actress.
Salman Khan Films COO Amar Butala partially confirmed the news, saying that the team is looking at roping in Chinese actors but that’s all that’s there to it for now. “Firstly, this is not a part of Indo-China treaty. Yes, we are looking to rope in Chinese actors for the film, but I can’t divulge into further details,” he told Catch News.
Ever since Kabir announced his next with Salman on Twitter, speculations around the plot and its cast have been on the rise. BollywoodLife reported that Deepika Padukone has been pulled on board and that the film falls in the action-thriller genre.
Scheduled for an Eid 2017 release, the cast and crew will begin shooting for it once Salman’s “Sultan” arrives in theatres this July. The 50-year-old actor has reportedly been doing extra shifts to wrap up the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial in time for him to begin Kabir’s film.
This is Salman and Kabir’s third film after “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” (2015), both of which went on to earn big bucks at the box office.
In other news, rumour has it that Salman may be teaming up with “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994) director Rajkumar Santoshi. A source told DNA, that they have been meeting up regularly to fine-tune the script. Said to be a comedy-action, the project will reportedly go on floors later this year.
