With the raging success of “Bajirao Mastani”, Ranveer Singh is in a position to pick and choose, and if rumours are anything to go by, he’s not been wasting time on that front.
According to a SpotboyE report, the young star has rejected Rohit Shetty’s “Ram Lakhan” because he’s not too keen on sharing screen space with another actor.
This could mean one of two things: either he’s grown too big for his boots to be working with another actor, or he’s slightly rattled by Shetty’s box-office performance (“Dilwale”). Singh’s decision not to take up the project has reportedly left the filmmaker in shock as the actor had shown great interest in it earlier.
Interestingly, Singh is not the only name that’s been associated with the remake. Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor are some of the stars who were, at one point in time, being considered for Shetty’s next.
Meanwhile, the director spilled some beans on the project in question, a few weeks ago. “No, I am not working with Shahid. I don’t know where these reports are coming from. We have just met once. And there is no project we are working on together right now. I will start working on the script of Ram Lakhan in January. Then we will see how it goes,” The Press Trust of India quoted him as saying.
In other news, Singh is gearing up for “Befikre” with Aditya Chopra.
