The “Housefull 3” trailer opens with London-based businessman Batuk Patel (Boman Irani) introducing the viewers to his three “sanskaari” daughters, played by Lisa Haydon, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nargis Fakhri, who party into the night when not mouthing dialogues in broken Hindi. Reports suggest that the dubbing artistes were kept at bay because the makers wanted the actresses to have little or no hold over the language.
The onscreen sisters, apart from sharing a surname, have a common trait – they all have a tough time speaking in Hindi. Because the film stars three leading ladies who aren’t fluent in the “rashtra bhasha,” the heroes had to have a command over it. Hence, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh were chosen and John Abraham has been replaced with Abhishek Bachchan, Deccan Chronicle reported.
Meanwhile, Abhishek, was a bundle of nerves while shooting for the third instalment. He said he was “nervous” when he had heard that he was in the film adding that it was similar to other actors appearing edgy when they join the “Dhoom” franchise, which he has been a part of for long.
“I was nervous as there were two best actors (Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh) who have good comic timing. It’s (‘Housefull’) the best franchise, it has not let the fans down. I worked hard but it was fun working on the film,” the Press Trust of India quoted him as saying.
Akshay, who plays someone with a split personality disorder in “Housefull 3,” is hopeful about the film’s success but isn’t in over his head. “We’ll come to know if it’s a hat-trick… it would be good if people like our third attempt with Housefull 3, because then it serves as motivation for fourth and fifth films. We will be looking forward to see how the business is, we keep our fingers crossed so that everything goes well,” he told IANS on the sidelines of the trailer launch.
This Sajid-Farhad-directed film opens in theatres on June 3.
