Joseph Morgan plays the incomparable vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson on the CW’s “The Originals.” The English actor has managed to capture many hearts with his acting, especially the spectacular, ominous quotes he says to his allies and enemies alike.
In celebration of Morgan’s 35th birthday, which falls on May 16, 2016, here is a compilation of some of the best quotes he has said as Klaus in “The Originals:”
No More Heartbreaks (Season 3 episode 19)
Klaus: Don’t you think for a moment that you failed me. You stayed my hand, quelled my rage, you inspired goodness in me, and unlike all of the souls I’ve encountered and forgotten in the long march of time, I will carry you with me.
Cami: I guess that makes me immortal.
Fire with Fire (Season 2 episode 21)
I’ve never been daggered. I never knew it was such an agonizing experience. It does help explain why my siblings loathe me.
When the Levee Breaks (Season 2 episode 19)
A better man would protect you with that lie. But I am not that man. And so I leave you with the burden of a truth that no one will believe.
Sanctuary (season 2 episode 12)
Jackson: Klaus, if you want to fight me, come on.
Klaus: You mistake my intentions. I haven’t come here to fight you. Not at all. This is to be an execution. Tell me, how exactly would you like to die?
Wheel Inside the Wheel (Season 2 episode 6)
You declared war when you came after my family and for that, I will make you suffer as only I can. After all, I am my mother’s son.
From a Cradle to a Grave (Season 1 episode 22)
Klaus: Hello, sister.
Rebekah: Oh, she looks like her mother. Maybe there is a god after all.
Klaus: Well she has a hint of the devil in her eyes. That’s all me.
Reigning Pain in New Orleans (Season 1 episode 6)
Elijah: You don’t make it easy to love you, brother.
Klaus: And yet, you are obstinate in your desire to do so.
Ashes to Ashes (Season 2 episode 22)
Klaus reads to his daughter Hope: Once upon a time, there was a wolf king, who fought the war, for the most precious treasure, in all the kingdom. His beautiful little princess. But the victory, came at a price. Allies lost. New enemies, made. And so, the wolf king stood alone. Happily ever after it was not, but, even the worst endings, are not really endings at all. And you should know, my littlest wolf, that even when all seems burnt to ashes, in our story, there is always another chapter, to be told.
