Villains rose and fell in first half of “Gotham” Season 2, and fans will see their wrath, come Monday, Feb. 29, 2016. The second half of Season 2 will begin with “Mr Freeze” and it will show fans how the DC supervillain will wreak havoc in Batman-less Gotham.

It is understood many villains killed off from “Gotham” in the previous episodes will be brought back from the dead by Dr Strange (Nathan Darrow). The “Gotham” Facebook page even shared a photo of Theo Galavan’s (James Frain) cold body, complete with the Penguin’s umbrella shoved into his mouth, being taken into Strange’s lab.

Hopefully, Strange will also be the reason fans will get to see Joker again. Jerome’s (Cameron Monaghan) death left fans quite agitated, and they repose hope in the knowledge that many villains will be revived by Strange, including the young sociopath.

However, before we get to meet him, we will see the front runner in this year’s list of villains — Freeze aka Victor Fries. He is a scientist knee-deep in cryogenic research and has no real human relationships.

The only person to break his wall of isolation was his wife Nora (Kristen Hager), who died of a terminal illness. However, he has preserved her in the hope that he will find a way of bringing her back. However, when his research gets shut down, he turns villainous and starts freezing people in the name of research.

While Jim (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey (Donal Logue) continue their fight against the villains, young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) starts his training to become a vigilante. He is far from becoming Batman and will face more threats to his life and integrity, but Bruce is on the track to becoming the saviour of Gotham.

In the promo for “Mr Freeze”, Bruce is seen training in his father’s secret study. Also, Mazouz himself has said in an interview: “He’s on a mission and he really is going to start his dual personality into being Batman. When he’s Batman there is his Batman side and then his public persona which is his playboy/partyboy persona. In Season 2, he’s really going to start developing that with Alfred.”
