The Season 5 finale titled “Mother’s Mercy” left a number of questions unanswered. While the major cliffhanger was Jon Snow’s death, the lives of the other Stark children were also in jeopardy when the season came to a close.

For instance, Sansa Stark, who was brutally raped by her husband Ramsay Bolton, decided to take matters into her own hands and at the end of the season we saw her trying to escape Winterfell with Theon Greyjoy. Sansa and Theon will succeed in leaving Ramsay Bolton, but the childhood friends do not stay together for long, spoiler forum Winter is Coming noted, adding that Sophie Turner and Alfie Allen were spotted filming separately.

Theon will reportedly go home to the Iron Islands as Allen was spotted filming in Ballitoy Harbor and he was photographed hanging out with Gemma Whelan, the actress who plays Yara Greyjoy. However, it is not immediately known if Balon will welcome his son back, as he was previously declared dead by his father.

As for Sansa, the spoiler forum noted that Turner was spotted by locals around Moneyglass, where the Winterfell set was set up. There were also reports of Sansa filming in the forest areas near the Riverrun set, according to Winter is Coming.

There isn’t much spoilers regarding Sansa, but according to Turner this season will see her character taking control of her life. “I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa,” Turner was quoted as saying during Entertainment Weekly’s SAG Awards party in Los Angeles, reported Time. “It’s her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it’s really good.”

“Game of Thrones” airs Sundays on HBO.
