“Express Raja” has done better business than new Telugu releases “Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu” (SARS) and “Lacchimdeviki O Lekkundi” (LOL) at the US box office in its third weekend.
Released in over 80 screens on 14 January, “Express Raja” collected $315,547 at the US box office in two weeks. It was expected fare well and surpass the $500,000 mark in the country in its second week. But its business went down due to reduced screen count. In its second week, the movie raked in $84,259 from 40 screens, taking its 14-day US total to $399,806.
The Sharwanand and Surabhi-starrer was withdrawn from several cinema halls to make way for “Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu” (SARS) and “Lacchimdeviki O Lekkundi” to rock the box office. Hence, “Express Raja” witnessed a steep decline in its business in the third weekend.
