Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi’s upcoming movie, tentatively titled “Kali”, has been making headlines ever since it went on floors in Kochi on 16 November.

A source close to Dulquer revealed to IBTimes India that the movie is expected to be released on 26 March. “Kali” narrates the story of Siddharth and Anjali, played by Dulquer and Sai, respectively. Both Dulquer and Sai are expected to play the roles of bike enthusiasts as it is evident from photos leaked from the sets of the film, in which the couple was seen riding a motorcycle.

Helmed by Sameer Thahir, “Kali” has been scripted by Rajesh Gopinathan and it marks the comeback of the actor-director (Dulquer-Sameer) duo after their 2013 thriller road movie “Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi”.

Co-produced by Sameer, Ashiq Usman and Shyju Khalid under the banner of Handmade Films, “Kali” also has Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod, and Soubin Shahir in pivotal roles. The movie is expected to be a visual treat by cinematographer Gireesh Gangadharan and is being shot in Kochi, Vagamon, Athirapally, Masinagudi and Gudalur.

Meanwhile, Dulquer is basking in the success of his Christmas release “Charlie”, which has grossed approximately Rs 19.57 crore within one month of its release in Kerala. The total world wide collection of the Martin Prakkat directorial is said to be more than Rs 38.5 crore. After wrapping up the shooting of “Kali”, Dulquer will join the sets of Rajeev Ravi’s upcoming movie in February, followed by Amal Neerad and Prathap Pothen’s projects.
