After “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” all eyes are on the next big release — “Captain America: Civil War.” By now, the studio has released various photos and even trailers for fans to know what the plot is all about. But did anyone notice that one major MCU character is missing out in the teams. So, who is that character that will not appear in the film?

The fans have pretty much got the team divisions sorted and already know who will be part of team Cap and which superhero will back team Iron Man. And while “Captain America: Civil War” features almost every important MCU character, there’s is one who has been missing in action. And that is Nick Fury.

Samuel L. Jackson, the actor who has essayed the role of Nick Fury, has signed a nine-picture contract with the studio and has appeared in seven MCU films already. Hence, it has got fans wondering about his absence in “Civil War.” He has appeared in the pos-credit scenes of “Iron Man” and is expected to be a part of futre” S.H.I.E.L.D” and “Avengers” storyline, but in his recent interview with Collider, the actor has confirmed that he will not appear in “Captain America: Civil War.”

“I finally met comics writer Mark Millar, last year, when I was doing “Kingsman,” and I finally got a chance to thank him for making Nick Fury black and changing the whole dynamic. It’s really great to be the connective tissue between so many different characters in so many different films, that brings those guys together. But I’m not in “Captain America 3.” I can’t figure that out, but I’m not. I guess I’m still out there, trying to figure out what happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. and who these other people are,” he said.

“It’s hard not to be a part of something that you know, if people study film for the next 200 years, they’ll be talking about “Star Wars” and “The Avengers” series, and all that stuff,” he added.

The website pointed out that maybe Marvel is trying to save Jackson for the two-part “Avengers: Infinity War” movies, given that there are only two more films left on his contract.

Well, it’s a sad news for Nick Fury fans that they will not get to see him in the film, but for the rest of the superheros’ action we have to wait for “Captain America: Civil War” which will be released April 29, 2016, in the UK and May 6, 2016, in the U.S.
