Allu Arjun’s next outing “Sarainodu” (Sarrainodu) is gearing up for a grand release across North America and the movie is expected to become the biggest opener and highest grosser for the actor at the U.S. box office.

Allu Arjun is one of the most popular Telugu actors in North America and success of “Race Gurram” and “S/o Satyamurthy,” which crossed $1 million mark each at the U.S. box office, is proof of the fan following in the country. Bunny craze and hype created by the promos lead to a huge demand of the overseas theatrical rights of “Sarainodu”

If we are to go by the reports, a leading international distribution house has acquired the theatrical rights of “Sarainodu” for a whopping Rs. 7.5 crore. The movie has beaten the record of Junior NTR’s “Nannaku Prematho,” which fetched Rs 6.20 crore from its overseas distribution rights.

The distribution house has planned for its grand release in all key international markets. In a bid to cash in on his popularity, the studio has booked over 160 screens across North America. This is the biggest screen count for a movie starring Allu Arjun, as his previous hits “Race Gurram” and “S/o Satyamurthy” were released in less than 150 screens in the country.

The studio reportedly has plans to hold premiere of “Sarainodu” in over 120 screens across the country on Thursday night. It is expected to cross half-million-dollar mark in these shows and also do well at the box office over the weekend. Considering its hype, the movie is likely to shatter all the records of Allu Arjun’s previous releases “Race Gurram” and “S/o Satyamurthy” in the country.

“Race Gurram,” which was released in around 100 screens on April 11, 2014, collected $844,101 at the U.S. box office in its opening weekend. Its day-wise breakup is $102,782 in Thursday premieres, $205,823 on Friday, $309,731 on Saturday and $225,765 on Sunday. The film collected $1,227,881 (Rs 7.42 crore) in the country in two weeks.

“S/o Satyamurthy,” which was released in over 135 screens on April 9, 2015, collected $347,267 at the U.S. box office in premiere shows. The movie collected $1,111,531 (Rs. 6.94 crore) in its first weekend and $1,254,699 (Rs. 7.97 crore) in its life time. The film became the biggest opener and the highest grosser for Allu Arjun.
